Chemical Process Operator – Riverview, MI
We are seeking a bright, self-motivated, hands-on person of high integrity that will thrive in our growing company’s results driven environment. Overall responsibilities will include activities associated with the manufacture of pharmaceutical products and materials, including operation of chemical process equipment and the charging and handling of associated chemicals. Specific job functions include but are not limited to:
- Conducting chemical syntheses of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and their intermediates within scheduled dates or times.
- Providing feedback to supervision concerning prospective process routes and/or synthetic procedures.
- Maintaining cleanness and routine maintenance of equipment items within the working environment.
- Retrieving supplies and materials; locating and verifying supplies and materials; delivering materials to production areas for use; dispensing chemicals for use.
- Accurately documenting actions according to company policies.
- Maintaining safe work environment; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Required skills include:
- Solid understanding of chemical processing and the handling chemicals in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industries and especially with GMP regulations.
- Ability to work with solvents and other chemicals.
- Ability to achieve forklift operator certification.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
Minimum 2 year diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment. Compensation commensurate with experience and ability. Excellent benefits package.
