Facilities Project Engineer

We are seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to execute small to mid-size multi-million dollar manufacturing plant expansion projects in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment. Projects include renovation, retro-fit and new construction. The Facilities Project Engineer will also provide technical support for maintenance of plant equipment and services. Both aspects involve significant hands-on engineering in the field. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Coordination with municipal, county, state and federal permit and regulatory agencies.
  • Management of external engineering design work as well as mechanical/electrical and associated contractors.
  • Interaction with site manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, EH&S, production planning and scheduling, customer service etc.
  • Construction and project management experience in the chemical process industry is essential.
  • Troubleshooting of equipment and building systems, including rotating equipment, HVAC, and compressed gases, and the facilitation of necessary repairs.

REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone who will:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in chemical process construction project management.
  • Demonstrated field experience in analyzing and determining needed corrective action in maintenance and project areas.
  • 4 year degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in retro-fit, renovation and new construction project management.
  • Ability to deliver on time, on budget, on spec., while collaborating with ongoing operations management for successful project implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment/facility validation (URS, F/SAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, etc..).
